Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Stolen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Stolen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demian Maia! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maia drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Maia trying to control but Stolen is working from the bottom. Maia not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Maia in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Maia advances to half guard. Stolen trying to hold on to Maia's head to control him but Maia postures up.
Maia trying to control from half guard but Stolen is working away. Stolen is looking for a sweep. Maia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stolen is trying to control but can't.
Maia looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Maia wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stolen keeps working.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Demian Maia. Stolen gets caught flat footed, as Maia shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Maia forces his way into half guard. Maia is looking to take a break and control but Stolen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Maia wants to work for an arm triangle but Stolen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maia is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Maia seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stolen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Maia decides to stand and escape the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Maia shoots in for a double leg but Stolen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Maia looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stolen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Maia can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stolen controls the pace. Maia looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maia looking for a sweep. Not yet Maia, not yet. Stolen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stolen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ryan Stolen just wasn't active enough. Maia throws out a loose jab but Stolen uses good head movement to avoid it. Maia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stolen swivels and escapes. Ryan Stolen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Maia. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stolen takes a swing at Maia's ribcage but misses. Stolen misses with a few strikes there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Maia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stolen tries to avoid it but Maia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stolen to the ground. Stolen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Stolen shoots in for a double leg but Maia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No luck with that takedown attempt from Maia. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Demian Maia dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Stolen dives in and scores a takedown into Maia's guard. Maia is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stolen is aware though and is defending well. Stolen postures up.
Stolen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maia has his foot on Stolen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stolen works his way back into a safe position though. Maia controls Stolen momentarily but Stolen frees himself. Maia has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Stolen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Maia. Maia tries to get back to half guard but can't. Maia is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maia is being controlled here. Maia is looking to reverse the position. Stolen trying to control the action but Maia is working from the bottom. Maia is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stolen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maia keeps working. Stolen working away. Maia tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maia is trying to control Stolen's posture but Stolen avoids it. Stolen trying to control the position but Maia is working away. Maia is looking to reverse the position. Maia is trying to control Stolen's posture but Stolen avoids it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Stolen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Maia! Maia looks to move to half guard but instead Stolen has passed into mount! Damn!

Stolen trying to control but Maia is having none of it. Maia is desperately trying to improve his position but Stolen has a good base and remains in mount. Stolen tries to control but Maia wriggling away. Maia is wriggling around trying to escape.
Stolen wants to control the pace but Maia is squirming around nicely. Demian Maia has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maia manages to regain half guard. Good work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Stolen wants to take a breather but Maia is having none of it.
Ryan Stolen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Stolen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maia was well out of range. Poor timing from Stolen. Maia lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stolen swivels and escapes. Stolen shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Stolen will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Maia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stolen counters with a straight right hand. Ryan Stolen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Maia throws a looping overhand right but Stolen ducks down to avoid it. Stolen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stolen lands in his opponent's guard. Maia keeping moving, preventing Stolen from controlling successfully. Stolen's corner is telling him to maintain position. Maia tries to land a sweep but no joy. Maia takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stolen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stolen controlling from the top position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ryan Stolen. Maia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Demian Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stolen shoots in for a takedown but Maia shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stolen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maia. Stolen misses the shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stolen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maia manages to avoid it. Maia shoots in for a takedown but Stolen shows good takedown defense. Ryan Stolen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demian Maia. Maia keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Stolen fails with a takedown attempt. Maia stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maia wants it to stay on the feet. Maia closes the distance and clinches up with Stolen, looking for a takedown. Maia pushes Stolen against the cage but Stolen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maia defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stolen. Maia gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Maia throws his legs up looking for a submission but Stolen uses it to pass to side control.
Stolen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Stolen trying to control the position but Maia is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maia is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Stolen wants to control but Maia is keeping him busy.
And that's the end of the fight! Ryan Stolen showed his dominance in that final round. Well Stolen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
