Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jomar Requina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Julian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Requina comes into the arena with My Will Be Done by Unearth blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Requina.
Requina tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Requina has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Julian is looking for a sweep.
Julian is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Requina has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Julian is looking to reverse the position.
Requina tries for a kimura but Julian is defending well.
Julian sneaks back into half guard.
Julian gets back to full guard.
Julian trying to keep a closed guard but Requina is proving a slippery customer.

Requina drops back looking for a leg! Julian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Julian manages to kick Requina off! Requina jumps back into Julian's guard.
Julian has momentary wrist control but Requina slips an elbow through the middle.

Julian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Requina doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Requina manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Julian takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Julian tries to free his leg and advance position but Requina is retaining full guard.
Requina is looking for a triangle but Julian pushes his legs off easily.
Julian stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Requina closes the distance and clinches up with Julian, looking for a takedown. Requina pushes Julian against the cage but Julian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Requina is trying to improve his position.
Julian happy to just control the position for now.
Julian is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Requina has escaped the position, nice work there.

Julian might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Requina kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Julian pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Requina is rocked!
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Julian is working for a guillotine from mount but Requina frees his head quite easily.
Oh Requina is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Requina is in a horrible position here. Julian smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Julian dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Requina fails with the takedown
and Julian counters with a big right hand! Oh Requina is in trouble here! Julian follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
