Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Daiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ici La Bas!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Bas takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
La Bas tries for a takedown but Daiz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Daiz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt La Bas.

and Daiz counters with a big head kick but La Bas shrugs it off.
Daiz tries to land a leg kick but La Bas saw it coming and moves away.
La Bas with a poor takedown
and Daiz holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Carlos Daiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ici La Bas.
Daiz lands an elbow that stopped La Bas in his tracks for a moment.
La Bas is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Daiz lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Daiz lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Daiz lands a nice elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Daiz lands a damaging elbow.
Daiz prevents a takedown attempt there.
The referee calls for Daiz to work.
La Bas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Daiz after a bit of a struggle.

Daiz tries to land a knee to the head but La Bas blocks with his arms.
Daiz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from La Bas.
La Bas is working for takedown but Daiz is calmly controlling the position for now.
Daiz scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Daiz lands an elbow just above La Bas 's eye.
Daiz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
La Bas is rocked!

La Bas is still on wobbly legs! Can Daiz finish him?
Daiz comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Daiz has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles La Bas - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Daiz, and another! La Bas is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Carlos Daiz!
After the fight, Carlos Daiz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
