Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borat Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall Stevens looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randall Stevens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Borat Sagdiyev! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens throws a leg kick but Sagdiyev sees it coming and checks it nicely. Sagdiyev tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Stevens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sagdiyev's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sagdiyev trying to control the position.
Stevens won't allow Sagdiyev to get back to his feet. Sagdiyev controls Stevens momentarily but Stevens frees himself. Stevens stands and throws Sagdiyev's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sagdiyev is trying to get back to half guard. Stevens working the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sagdiyev controls the position for a moment. Stevens in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Stevens lands a decent elbow from side control. Stevens trying to control the position but Sagdiyev is working away. Stevens decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sagdiyev to his feet. Sagdiyev tries to clinch there but Stevens circles away.
Stevens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stevens slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Stevens is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Sagdiyev really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stevens. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Stevens creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Stevens is trying to get an arm triangle but Sagdiyev is defending well. Stevens is chipping away with strikes.
Sagdiyev is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Stevens is controlling him well. Sagdiyev looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Stevens lands a few punches from side control. Stevens wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sagdiyev, who protects the arm well. Stevens working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sagdiyev is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sagdiyev taking a bit of punishment here - Stevens scoring with strikes. Stevens slows the pace down. Stevens has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sagdiyev trying his best to control but Stevens has mounted him. Sagdiyev is squirming around, avoiding Stevens's attempts to control the action. Stevens controlling the pace for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randall Stevens dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Stevens swats away the attempt to clinch by Sagdiyev. Sagdiyev shoots in looking for a takedown. Stevens tries to sprawl out of it but Sagdiyev keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stevens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Sagdiyev scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Sagdiyev tries to keep at a distance but Stevens has taken the fight into the clinch. Stevens drags the fight down to the ground.
Sagdiyev wants to get up but he can't break Stevens's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Stevens wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Stevens had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sagdiyev defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sagdiyev trying to control but Stevens is working from the bottom. Sagdiyev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sagdiyev trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sagdiyev pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stevens is keeping the position for now. Stevens is looking for a triangle but Sagdiyev pushes his legs off easily.
Stevens bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sagdiyev's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sagdiyev not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sagdiyev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Stevens stands up and waves to Sagdiyev to follow him. Sagdiyev is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stevens throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sagdiyev was covering up waiting for the punch and Stevens finishes the takedown easily into guard. Stevens postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stevens works over Sagdiyev with some ground and pound from guard. Stevens controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sagdiyev is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sagdiyev being controlled here, momentarily. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sagdiyev shoots in for a takedown but Stevens shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Stevens drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stevens passes easily into side control. Nice work. Stevens landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Sagdiyev's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sagdiyev takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stevens tries for a kimura but Sagdiyev is defending well. Stevens in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Sagdiyev is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
