Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ambrogio Ballestrazzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hugo Chavez!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballestrazzi pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A telegraphed right hand from Ballestrazzi misses the target.
Chavez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ballestrazzi was well out of range. Poor timing from Chavez.

The fighters circle momentarily. Chavez darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Ambrogio Ballestrazzi has been cut.
Chavez bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Ballestrazzi throws a leg kick but Chavez sees it coming and checks it nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Chavez counters with a crisp one two that drops Ballestrazzi! Chavez thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ballestrazzi to his feet! Ballestrazzi is in big trouble!

Ballestrazzi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chavez has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ballestrazzi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Chavez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chavez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Chavez is pressed up against the cage. Ballestrazzi has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chavez down to the mat. Chavez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ambrogio Ballestrazzi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Chavez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ballestrazzi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ballestrazzi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Chavez lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Ballestrazzi goes down and covers up as Chavez starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
