Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Panikos Papaioanou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fatts McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGee is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by I'm a Thug. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Panikos Papaioanou! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fatts McGee! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Papaioanou tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Papaioanou somewhat. A low kick from McGee is predictable there and Papaioanou connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Papaioanou fails to land the takedown. McGee fails with an attempt to clinch.
McGee leaves Papaioanou with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Panikos Papaioanou. That's going to take a lot out of him. Papaioanou fails with a takedown attempt. Papaioanou tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McGee was well out of range. Poor timing from Papaioanou. Papaioanou checks a leg kick nicely. Papaioanou shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Papaioanou throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McGee is defending against the submission attempts here by Papaioanou.
Papaioanou missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGee can do anything to dispel that myth. Papaioanou not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McGee is staying active underneath Papaioanou, who seems content to just control the action from this position. McGee is in trouble now - Papaioanou has advanced to mount! Papaioanou moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, McGee has worked his arm free - good work by McGee!
Papaioanou fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Papaioanou wants to control but McGee is keeping him busy. McGee is looking for a sweep. McGee takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Papaioanou is looking to take a break and control but McGee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Papaioanou looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Papaioanou advances to mount. Papaioanou landing strikes from the mount and McGee is in trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Papaioanou connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
It looks like Fatts McGee has been cut. McGee is in all sorts of trouble here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Papaioanou looking to finish McGee with some ground and pound. This is bad for McGee! Papaioanou has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McGee's face.
McGee is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Papaioanou is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and McGee goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Papaioanou!
