Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Loid! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Loid has closed the distance and engaged Marsh in a clinch.
Loid tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Marsh just stands there and leans against the cage. Marsh goes for a takedown attempt but Loid pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Marsh closes the distance and pushes Loid back into the cage. Marsh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Marsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Loid is refusing to be controlled, as Marsh sits in half guard. Loid is trying to stand up here but Marsh is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loid is defending against the submission attempts here by Marsh.
Marsh seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Marsh is controlling the pace.
Loid wants to get back to his feet. Marsh is working for a kimura but Loid is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsh is trying to control the action in half guard but Loid is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Loid on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Loid is staying active underneath Marsh, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Marsh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Marsh wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Loid is looking to stand up but Marsh isn't so interested in that idea. Marsh drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Marsh seems to have locked his on tight now - Loid screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Marsh, as he picks up the win!
