0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel James! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoenheim gets off balance looking for a body kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Hoenheim plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Daniel James has been cut. Hoenheim misses with a series of wild punches.

Van Hoenheim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hoenheim has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hoenheim tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Hoenheim swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A good leg kick by James. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! James connects with a leg kick. Hoenheim looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. James throws a shot from downtown. Hoenheim moves away and avoids it.

Hoenheim is rocked! James seems to be stalking Hoenheim here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Hoenheim drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
