Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Lyman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve The Cat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Josh Lyman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve The Cat! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyman throws a head kick but The Cat moves out of range.
Lyman misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position. The Cat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The Cat throws a leg kick but Lyman sees it coming and moves out of range. Lyman moves out of range as The Cat throws a body kick.
Lyman throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Steve The Cat has been cut. Lyman lands a big head kick that sends The Cat tumbling to the mat! Lyman takes a step backwards and waves The Cat back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The Cat is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lyman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. The Cat pushes Lyman against the cage but Lyman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The Cat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Lyman leaves The Cat with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The Cat fails in his attempt to clinch. Lyman throws a head kick but The Cat moves out of range.

The Cat tries to close the distance and clinch but Lyman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Lyman checks a leg kick. The Cat is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - The Cat looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The Cat misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

The cut above Steve The Cat's eye is starting to cause him problems now. With the fighters up against the cage, Lyman throws an elbow but misses. Lyman working The Cat over with knees to the body. Lyman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Lyman tries to close the distance and clinch but The Cat swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The Cat decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The Cat is keen to just control but Lyman is a slippery customer. Lyman is trying to stand up here but The Cat is controlling him well. The Cat takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The Cat is looking to take a break and control but Lyman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The Cat works his foot free and advances to mount. Lyman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Cat thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Lyman somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Lyman throws a sloppy head kick and The Cat moves out of range easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The Cat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lyman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Cat somewhat. The Cat tries to clinch up. The Cat lands a high kick!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The Cat fails to land the takedown. Lyman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from The Cat. Lyman misses with a head kick.
Lyman gets a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Lyman dominated that round. The cut man is working on Steve The Cat's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lyman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Lyman tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Cat is looking to clinch. The Cat tries to land a front kick but Lyman steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. The Cat has closed the distance and engaged Lyman in a clinch.
Lyman wants to get back to striking at distance but The Cat won't allow it.
The Cat is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lyman pulls him back up using the underhooks. Josh Lyman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve The Cat. Lyman throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Lyman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. The Cat is trying to push Lyman away but Lyman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Lyman just misses with a elbow thrown towards The Cat's brow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyman keeps control of The Cat as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Lyman trying to land knees to the body.
Lyman lands an elbow just above The Cat 's eye.
Steve The Cat's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Lyman throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but The Cat blocks it with crossed arms. The Cat has had enough of the clinch but Lyman keeps him there for the moment. The Cat has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lyman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lyman misses with an elbow over the top. The Cat is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Lyman gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Steve The Cat's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
