Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pelco Akerei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Jordan getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Jordan slips a jab and a cross from Akerei.
Nice defenses there by Akerei. Nice defenses there by Akerei. Akerei throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jordan tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jordan with a jab. Akerei blocks a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Akerei misses the target. Jordan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jordan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Akerei. Akerei finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Akerei misses with a looping right. Nice defenses there by Akerei. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Akerei misses the jab. Akerei throws a hook to the side of Jordan's head but Jordan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice defenses there by Akerei.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Akerei misses. Akerei throws a jab when Jordan was well out of range. Akerei really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Akerei looks to land a right hand but Jordan moved out of range. Jordan misses with an uppercut
and Akerei counters with an inside leg kick. Akerei scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jordan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Akerei missing with a left hand there. Jordan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big left from Jordan misses. Jordan cracks Akerei with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Akerei missing with a left hand there. Jordan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jordan throws a nice looking combination but Akerei bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jordan misses with a looping left. Jordan throws a right and a left that Akerei avoids nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Jordan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Akerei throws a jab but it's blocked by Jordan. Akerei throws a leg kick but Jordan moved away. Jordan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jordan lands a glancing blow to the side of Akerei's head. Jordan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Akerei throws a leg kick which misses Jordan's front leg but catches the back leg as Jordan tries to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan misses the jab. Akerei displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jordan throws out the jab. Jordan avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jordan lands a jab to Akerei's midsection. Pelco Akerei is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jordan misses with a wild body shot. Jordan throws a series of punches but Akerei avoids them all with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Decent striking displayed by Jordan there. Akerei lands a lovely overhand right. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab from Akerei misses. Akerei drops Jordan with a beautiful combination! Jordan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Akerei is looking for the KO!
It looks like Alexander Jordan has been cut. Jordan throws the left hand but Akerei avoids the punch easily. Akerei takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akerei misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jordan scores with a jab. Jordan throws out a loose jab but Akerei uses good head movement to avoid it. Jordan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akerei lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Alexander Jordan seems to be getting the better of the standup. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jordan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Akerei is rocked! Jordan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A slow jab from Jordan misses its intended target. Akerei moves away from the strike by Jordan. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Alexander Jordan will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Alexander Jordan's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
A clash of legs there as Jordan blocks the low kick. Akerei getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Akerei uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jordan. Akerei lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jordan's sensitive parts. Jordan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jordan dips to his left and cracks Akerei with an uppercut! Jordan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Akerei. A big right from Akerei misses. Akerei throws a low kick but Jordan moves out of range easily. Akerei ducks under a wild hook from Jordan. Akerei connects with a nice looking jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Akerei on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Akerei throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jordan misses with a straight right. Jordan throws a shot from downtown. Akerei moves away and avoids it. Akerei throws a hook but Jordan avoids it easily. Akerei steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jordan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akerei moves away from the strike by Jordan. The fighters circling - Akerei throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jordan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Akerei under the eye. A swing and a miss from Jordan. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Akerei swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pelco Akerei. Well Jordan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
