Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Fayth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Fitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fayth comes to the cage accompanied by Awry Decade - Aisle of Denial. Fitch has chosen Till I Collapse- Eminem as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Fayth! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Fitch! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fitch looks to land a combination but Fayth avoids it well. Fitch throws out a loose jab but Fayth uses good head movement to avoid it. Fayth will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Fayth throws a low kick but Fitch moves out of range easily. Fayth shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Fitch trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Fayth is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Fitch to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Fitch shrugs it off. Fayth looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Fitch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fayth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Fayth punishing his opponent with strikes. Fayth swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fitch is now in Fayth's guard. A big mistake from Fayth there, giving up the dominant position! Fayth had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fitch defends it easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Fayth is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fitch is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fayth looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Fitch is defending well. Fayth quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Fitch has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Fayth celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ray Fayth! Ray Fayth retains his welterweight title! A relieved looking Ray Fayth thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
