PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scot Risso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Jim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jim Jim was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Risso lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jim has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jim and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Risso closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jim did well to prevent Risso getting side control.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Risso tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jim controls his leg.
Jim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Risso. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Risso is working for a kimura but Jim is defending it quite comfortably.
Risso uses his free foot to push down on Jim's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jim.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jim is looking to improve his position but Risso isn't that keen on the idea.
