The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noonan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Noonan avoids the body shot from Nieds.
Nieds checks a leg kick.
Noonan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nieds moves away.
Nieds is looking to slow Noonan down with leg kicks.
Noonan moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Noonan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Nieds tries to roll over but Noonan keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Nieds enables Noonan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Nieds manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nieds manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Noonan tries to reverse the position but Nieds maintains control.
Nieds trying to control but Noonan is having none of it.

Noonan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Noonan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nieds.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Noonan digs a good hook to Nieds's body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Noonan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nieds has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nieds and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A shot to the liver by Noonan. Beautiful body shot.
A jab from Noonan misses.
Nieds throws a front kick aimed at Noonan's knee but Noonan avoids it well.
Nieds motions for Noonan to come forward. Nieds throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Noonan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nieds. That did some damage!
Nieds has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Noonan.

Noonan connects with a body shot that sends Nieds's belly button to the back.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Noonan, as that shot connected.
Nieds walks into a stiff left hand from Noonan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Noonan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Noonan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nieds takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Noonan looks up at the clock and then as Nieds takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Noonan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Noonan is trying to get an arm triangle but Nieds is defending well.
Nieds is trying to control Noonan's posture but Noonan avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nieds does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
