PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seany Scholes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nadi Tsunami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scholes's entrance music is Wonderwall - Oasis. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsunami shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tsunami tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scholes was well out of range. Poor timing from Tsunami.

Tsunami feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Scholes is looking for a triangle but Tsunami pushes his legs off easily.
Tsunami controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Scholes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tsunami can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tsunami got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scholes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tsunami has managed to get both his arms back between Scholes's legs - danger averted.

Scholes with the ground and pound but Tsunami uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Scholes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tsunami manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Scholes has Tsunami in his guard.

Scholes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Tsunami stacks Scholes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Tsunami!
Tsunami has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Scholes!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tsunami is landing with some decent strikes but Scholes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Tsunami shoots in but no luck this time.

Horrible takedown by Scholes or perhaps it was just good defense by Tsunami which made him look bad.

Scholes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tsunami is working away from the top position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Seany Scholes will probably get the nod.
