Whissell comes to the cage accompanied by Rose Of Sharon. Cruz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Welcome to the Jungle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Kale Cruz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Whissell looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Whissell counters with a single leg into guard. Cruz didn't expect that.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Whissell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Cruz's guard.

Whissell is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cruz doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Whissell.

Cruz wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Whissell has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Cruz's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Cruz is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Whissell!
