Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 19 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adam Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with a straight right.
Assassin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gracie.
Assassin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gracie scores with a kick to the midsection.

Assassin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Assassin lands in his opponent's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gracie is on top in guard.

Assassin has his foot on Gracie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gracie works his way back into a safe position though.
Gracie throws a strike but Assassin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Assassin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Assassin throws an elbow that misses. Gracie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Assassin's guard. Nice move by Gracie!

Gracie postures up in Assassin's guard and throws a big left but Assassin blocks it.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Gracie wants to control from the top but Assassin keeps moving.
Assassin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace.
Assassin looking for a sweep. Not yet Assassin, not yet.
Assassin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Assassin parries the strikes from Gracie easily there. Gracie is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Assassin to escape.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Assassin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gracie!

Assassin lands a heavy elbow.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gracie is bucking up trying to escape but Assassin cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Assassin breaks from Gracie's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Gracie tries to lock up and control but Assassin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Assassin with shots to the head and body - Gracie looks very uncomfortable down there.
Gracie takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Assassin looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Gracie covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
