Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Preuss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Drew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Preuss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Drew!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drew throws a sloppy head kick and Preuss moves out of range easily.
A swing and a miss from Preuss.
Preuss doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mark Drew seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drew throws a push kick but Preuss slaps the foot to one side.
Drew throws a leg kick but Preuss sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Drew clinches.
Preuss wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Drew has him pressed against the cage.
Preuss tries to break the clinch but Drew is controlling the position.
Drew wants a takedown but no success here.
Preuss is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Drew wants to break the clinch but can't.
Preuss keeps control of Drew as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Preuss wants to break free but Drew has control.
Preuss is pressed up against the cage. Drew has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Preuss down to the mat. Preuss avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Preuss as Drew shoots in.
Alex Preuss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Drew.
Drew misses with a takedown attempt - Preuss sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Preuss pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Preuss is trying to control Drew's posture but Drew avoids it.

Drew lands some shots froms side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Drew advances nicely into full mount.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Drew dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Preuss pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Drew tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Preuss misses with a body kick.
Drew takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Drew shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Preuss's guard.

Drew drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Preuss manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Drew has Preuss in his guard.

Drew escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Preuss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Drew has his hands on Preuss's head, controlling the position.

Drew looking for a guillotine here but Preuss defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drew is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Drew kicks Preuss off and gets to his feet.

Drew looking to score a takedown here. Preuss is defending well but Drew drives through and ends up in Preuss's guard.
Drew engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Preuss looking to hit a scissor sweep but Drew is one step ahead there.

Drew is looking to advance position but Preuss has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Preuss tries to push Drew's head away but Drew is holding on tight.
Drew tries to lock up and control but Preuss gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Drew keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Preuss avoids the attempt from Drew to control.
Mark Drew has got the better of the ground game so far.
Drew tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Drew bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Mark Drew showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Drew checks a leg kick.
Drew doesn't manage to clinch there - Preuss circles away.
Preuss circles away from the clinch attempt.
Drew tries to clinch but Preuss is having none of it.
Drew moves out of range of the body kick.
Drew shoots in but Preuss avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Preuss wants to clinch.
Drew fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Preuss thumps Drew with a low kick.
Preuss throws a low kick, looking for Drew's leg but Drew calmly moves out of range.
Drew wants to clinch.
Preuss throws a right hand that misses

and Drew counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Drew.
Drew stalls.
Preuss prevents a takedown attempt there.
Drew is trying to drag Preuss to the mat but Preuss just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Alex Preuss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Drew.

Preuss seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Drew is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Preuss pushes Drew off looking to stand but Drew dives back in and keeps control.
Drew is controlling the pace.

Preuss wants to control but Drew is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Drew was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Drew has closed the distance and engaged Preuss in a clinch.

Drew is working for takedown but Preuss is calmly controlling the position for now.
Preuss trying to control the position but instead, Drew has worked for underhooks and has pushed Preuss into the cage.
Drew fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Drew is struggling to control the position.
Drew is trying to pull guard but Preuss turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Drew comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Drew winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
