Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guil Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Run This Town kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Guil Ribeiro acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ribeiro tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ribeiro forces Gibbs back against the cage and clinches.

Gibbs jumps guard but Ribeiro stands there with Gibbs around his waist. Gibbs gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gibbs slaps away a takedown attempt from Ribeiro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gibbs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ribeiro swivels and escapes.
Ribeiro throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gibbs's head.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Ribeiro enables Gibbs to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ribeiro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ribeiro moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ribeiro closes the distance and clinches up with Gibbs, looking for a takedown. Ribeiro pushes Gibbs against the cage but Gibbs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

I think Ribeiro has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Guil Ribeiro opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
