Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Red Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blue Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Red Belt's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dance of the Knights. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Blue Belt! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blue Belt gets caught flat footed, as Red Belt shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Red Belt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Red Belt won't allow Blue Belt to get back to his feet. Red Belt thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Red Belt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Red Belt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Red Belt tries to free his leg and advance position but Blue Belt is retaining full guard. Red Belt is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Blue Belt keeping full guard, as Red Belt tries to pass. Red Belt has gone for a leg lock! Blue Belt slips out almost immediately though and dives into Red Belt's guard. Blue Belt wants to stand but Red Belt has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Blue Belt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blue Belt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Red Belt has his foot on Blue Belt's thigh. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blue Belt wants to pass the guard but Red Belt is keeping the position. I wouldn't like to be where Blue Belt is right now. Red Belt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Blue Belt knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Red Belt goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Blue Belt has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Red Belt but great work by Blue Belt. Red Belt tries to get back to half guard but can't. Blue Belt is looking to take a break and control but Red Belt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blue Belt decides to stand up, so the ref orders Red Belt to his feet. Red Belt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Blue Belt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Blue Belt struggling a bit here. Red Belt thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Red Belt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Red Belt is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blue Belt has escaped the position, nice work there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blue Belt is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Red Belt is controlling him well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blue Belt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Red Belt. Well Red Belt has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
