Gilmour's entrance music is i Get Knocked Down, But i Get Up Again. A fine choice. Rei has chosen Alice in Chains - No Excuses as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilmour lands a nice leg kick that just misses Rei's sensitive parts.
Rei throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Rei takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rei scores with a hook to the body. Gilmour takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Rei is looking to slow Gilmour down with leg kicks.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gilmour connects with a solid leg kick.
Rei misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Rei tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Rei throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Gilmour fakes the leg kick and cracks Rei in the body.

Gilmour lands a big head kick that sends Rei tumbling to the mat! Gilmour takes a step backwards and waves Rei back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Budo Rei has been cut.
Rei moves away from the strike by Gilmour.
Rei lands with a shot to the body.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rei crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gilmour - the referee stops the clock and Rei gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gilmour. Rei manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gilmour gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rei.
Rei misses with a body shot.
Rei misses the shot to the body.
Gilmour scores with a jab to the head.
Rei misses with a kick to the body.
Rei misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gilmour throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Rei throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rei throws the left hand but Gilmour avoids the punch easily.
Gilmour misses with a low kick as Rei jumps back.
Gilmour wants to slow Rei down by chopping away at his legs.

Gilmour feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Rei sprawling to the canvas! Rei rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gilmour finish him?!

Rei is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gilmour scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rei is still on wobbly legs! Can Gilmour finish him?
Rei ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gilmour moves away.
Rei seems to have recovered his senses.

Rei avoids the head kick by Gilmour.
Rei tries to land a leg kick but Gilmour saw it coming and moves away.

Oooooh!!! Gilmour has knocked Rei down with a huge combo! Gilmour steps away and waves a wobbly Rei back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That has opened up Budo Rei's cut even more.
Gilmour is stalking Rei. Rei circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Gilmour, and it's lights out! Rei really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

After winning the bout, David Gilmour thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
