Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dante Evangelisti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evangelisti comes into the arena with Hunting For Death blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
30 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dante Evangelisti! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Horton! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evangelisti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Horton was well out of range. Poor timing from Evangelisti. Horton connects with the punch. Horton doesn't succeed with the takedown and Evangelisti counters with a body kick that stops Horton in his tracks momentarily. Evangelisti loads up on a big right hand but Horton slips the punch. Horton misses with a takedown and Evangelisti counters with a nice body shot. Tim Horton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horton has his takedown stuffed and Evangelisti counters with an inside leg kick. Dante Evangelisti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Horton. Evangelisti fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Horton checks it well. Horton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Evangelisti counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Evangelisti throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Evangelisti thows a left - swing and a miss! Horton shoots in and bounces Evangelisti off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Horton won't allow Evangelisti to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horton wants to pass the guard but Evangelisti is keeping the position. Evangelisti controlling Horton's posture. Horton throws a big elbow that misses. Evangelisti managing to control the position. Evangelisti working a defensive guard but Horton manages to pass into side control anyway.
Horton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Evangelisti, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horton wants to stand but Evangelisti has his arm trapped. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Horton trying to control the position but Evangelisti is working away. Horton tries to move into full mount but can't pass Evangelisti's legs. Horton is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Evangelisti knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Horton tries for a kimura but Evangelisti is defending well.

Horton throwing strikes but Evangelisti manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Horton tries to buck Evangelisti off but Evangelisti is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Horton trying to remain calm as Evangelisti controls from the top position. Horton takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Evangelisti decides to stand back up. Horton blocks a head kick by Evangelisti.
Horton closes the distance and clinches up with Evangelisti, looking for a takedown. Horton pushes Evangelisti against the cage but Evangelisti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. An inside leg kick lands from Evangelisti. Horton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Evangelisti connects with a solid leg kick. Horton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Evangelisti swivels and escapes. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Evangelisti tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Horton was well out of range. Poor timing from Evangelisti. Evangelisti scores with a head kick. Horton tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Evangelisti throws a chopping leg kick but Horton manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Nice sprawl there from Evangelisti as Horton shoots in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dante Evangelisti dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Horton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evangelisti as he jumps to the side. Horton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Evangelisti sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Evangelisti throws a shot to the body.
Horton misses with a takedown and Evangelisti counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Dante Evangelisti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tim Horton. Horton misses with a takedown attempt and Evangelisti counters with a nice low kick that buckles Horton's knee momentarily. Evangelisti lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Horton doesn't succeed with the takedown and Evangelisti counters with a right hand to the body. Evangelisti connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Horton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The fighters circling - Horton throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Horton shoots and misses and Evangelisti counters with a good low kick that Horton was not able to check. Evangelisti throws a body punch but Horton moves out of range. Dante Evangelisti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evangelisti lands a leg kick that knocks Horton off balance momentarily. Horton is breathing heavily. Horton walks into a jab. Horton fails with the takedown and Evangelisti counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Evangelisti wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Evangelisti throws a shot to the body.
Evangelisti scores with a jab. Horton acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Horton tries for a takedown but Evangelisti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horton with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Evangelisti to counter with a crisp jab. Evangelisti pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Horton shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Evangelisti defends it nicely. Evangelisti stuns Horton with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evangelisti cracks the inside of Horton's front leg. Horton shoots in looking for a takedown. Evangelisti tries to sprawl out of it but Horton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Evangelisti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Horton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Evangelisti swivels and escapes. Evangelisti lands a left and a right that send Horton crashing to the mat, dazed. Evangelisti thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Horton is rocked!
It looks like Tim Horton has been cut. Evangelisti lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dante Evangelisti! Dante Evangelisti retains his middleweight title! A relieved looking Dante Evangelisti thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
