PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pot kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Showering of Money. Dan Haley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haley stuns Pot with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pot looks to score with a jab to the body but Haley is just out of range.
Haley misses with a double jab.
Haley wants to clinch

and Pot counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pot.
Pot wants to pass the guard but Haley is keeping the position.
Haley bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pot's guard.

Pot has an active guard here but Haley has managed to pass into half guard.

Haley seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pot does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pot is working for a kimura but Haley is defending it quite comfortably.

Haley swings for the body but Pot moves out of range.

Pot ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Haley moves away.
Haley misses with an uppercut. Pot saw that one coming.
Pot just misses with a punch to the body.
Pot scores with a body shot.
Pot thows a body shot but no joy.
Haley just misses with a punch to the body.
Pot shoots for a takedown but Haley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Haley looks to land a left hand but Pot moved out of range nicely.
Haley tries to clinch but Pot moves out of range.
Pot checks the leg kick nicely there.
Haley uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pot.

Haley rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Pot counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Haley!
Pot wants to control but Haley is keeping him busy.

Pot tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Haley prevents Pot from moving into mount.
Jack Pot overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Haley manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Pot is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pot had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Haley defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Haley sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Pot doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Haley paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Pot - great work!
