The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitfield fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Whitfield misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A cross from Boomer lands.
Whitfield shoots in looking for a takedown. Boomer tries to sprawl out of it but Whitfield keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Boomer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Boomer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Whitfield.
Whitfield tries to clinch there but Boomer circles away.
Boomer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Whitfield doesn't seem bothered though.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Whitfield. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Boomer throws an overhand right that drops Whitfield like a sack of potatoes! Boomer dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
