Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nolan Sackett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Preston Scott! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sackett moves out of range as Scott strikes. Scott throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Scott looks to land a combination but Sackett avoids it well. Scott blocks a head kick by Sackett.
Scott tries to land a body kick and Sackett counters with a slapping leg kick. Nolan Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Scott steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Sackett. That one must have hurt. Scott throws a head kick that misses. Sackett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Sackett misses with a body shot
and Scott counters with a series of strikes. Sackett will be more careful next time no doubt. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Sackett.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Scott avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A chopping leg kick lands by Sackett. Scott looks winded! Sackett showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Scott.
Scott throws a low kick, looking for Sackett's leg but Sackett calmly moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sackett connects with a body shot that sends Scott's belly button to the back. Sackett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sackett lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Scott takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Sackett feints and then cracks Scott's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scott down. Sackett swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Scott ducks right into an uppercut from Sackett. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sackett moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Scott takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Sackett with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Sackett connects with a solid leg kick. Scott shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Scott is rocked! Scott stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sackett. Scott is still on wobbly legs! Can Sackett finish him? A good leg kick by Sackett. Scott seems to have recovered his senses. Crunch! Sackett slams his shin into Scott's torso. Sackett cracks Scott with a hook to the temple - Scott is on wobbly legs here! Sackett swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Scott falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Sackett wins by TKO!
