Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jim Whippany (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Anane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whippany looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Anane looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Whippany throws a body punch but Anane moves out of range. Anane stuffs the takedown. Whippany shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Anane as he jumps to the side. Anane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Whippany.
Whippany has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Whippany. That's going to take a lot out of him. Whippany closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Whippany ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Whippany no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Anane wants to pass the guard but Whippany is keeping the position. Whippany looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Whippany wants to stand but Anane is controlling the position. Whippany is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whippany wants to sweep but no luck. Whippany bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Anane's guard. Anane is working an open guard so Whippany takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Whippany drives through with a takedown into guard. Anane looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Anane is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Whippany is aware though and is defending well.

Whippany drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anane manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Whippany has Anane in his guard. Anane wanted to stand there but Whippany had control of the position. Whippany keeping moving, preventing Anane from controlling successfully. Whippany controlling Anane's posture. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Anane trying to control the position from guard on top but Whippany is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anane looking to sit in guard and control but Whippany gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anane keeping full guard, as Whippany tries to pass.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Stephen Anane hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Whippany throws a sloppy head kick and Anane moves out of range easily. Whippany misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Whippany is looking to clinch. Whippany scores with a punch to the head. Whippany closes the distance and clinches up with Anane, looking for a takedown. Whippany pushes Anane against the cage but Anane circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whippany manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Anane on his heels. He'll look to pass Anane's guard now, I'm sure. Whippany looking to sit in guard and control but Anane gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Whippany being controlled here, momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anane trying to move into half guard but instead Whippany has managed to sweep! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whippany throws a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whippany misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Anane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Whippany.
Whippany clinches. Whippany jumps into guard, dragging Anane to the mat.
Anane trying to control but Whippany is working from the bottom. Whippany keeping busy, throwing shots from the bottom. Anane is breathing heavily. Whippany wants to stand up but Anane is controlling him. Whippany looking for a guillotine here but Anane defends easily.

Stephen Anane has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Whippany misses with a takedown attempt - Anane sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Whippany closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whippany's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Anane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Whippany lands a head kick!

Whippany shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Whippany was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Whippany is looking to take a break and control but Anane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Whippany thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Whippany throws an elbow but Anane slips to the side and avoids it well. Whippany is trying to get an arm triangle but Anane is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whippany is looking to take a break and control but Anane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Anane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Whippany stands up and beckons Anane to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whippany changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anane looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Whippany fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Anane is not content to let Whippany control the position. Anane is being controlled here. Anane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whippany stands up and beckons Anane to his feet. Whippany moves into range and clinches up with Anane. Whippany avoiding damage.
Whippany tightens his grip and picks Anane up, before dumping him to the ground. Anane manages to land in guard. Jim Whippany overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Whippany stands and throws Anane's legs to the side, diving into side control. Whippany controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Whippany lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Anane down.
Whippany misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Whippany scoring with punches and elbows. Anane parries the strikes from Whippany easily there. Whippany is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Anane to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Whippany is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Anane has escaped the position, nice work there. Whippany postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Whippany wants to control but Anane is keeping him busy. Whippany happy to just control the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anane is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Whippany decides to stand back up. Whippany steps back and let's Anane get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Whippany shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Whippany stalling.
And that's the end of the fight! Jim Whippany showed his dominance in that final round. Well Whippany has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
