Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloodgood keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carpenter.
Carpenter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Carpenter waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Bloodgood.
Some wild striking there from Bloodgood.
Bloodgood scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Bloodgood throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bloodgood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carpenter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carpenter is on top in guard.
Carpenter wants to pass the guard but Bloodgood is keeping the position.

Carpenter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bloodgood is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Carpenter, into his guard.

Bloodgood chips away with some ground and pound.
Bloodgood not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Bloodgood is pushing down on Carpenter's leg trying to pass to half guard. Carpenter is fighting to maintain full guard but Bloodgood has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bloodgood takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bloodgood passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Carpenter!

Bloodgood has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bloodgood postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Carpenter looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carpenter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bloodgood working for a guillotine from mount but Carpenter is in no mood to give up.
Carpenter wants to control but Bloodgood is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bloodgood lands a heavy elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Carpenter falls off balance throwing a combination
and Bloodgood counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Carpenter's guard now.
Bloodgood advances position into side control!
Bloodgood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carpenter keeps working.
Carpenter tries to bench press Bloodgood off him but Bloodgood keeps the position.
Bloodgood creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Bloodgood lands some shots froms side control.
Carpenter is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Bloodgood wants to control but Carpenter is keeping him busy.

Carpenter tries to buck Bloodgood off but Bloodgood is having none of it.
