The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makdessi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lib quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Lib is not content to let Makdessi control the position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lib can do anything to dispel that myth.

Makdessi is trying to control the action in half guard but Lib is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
