Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodniel Romero! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lorenzo Silva! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Romero, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Silva tries to keep at a distance but Romero has taken the fight into the clinch. Romero lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Lorenzo Silva has been cut. Romero looking to throw knees to the head but Silva is blocking nicely.

Romero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Silva slips a jab and a cross from Romero.

That's one minute gone in the round. Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Romero throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Romero gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Silva is trying to maintain a safe position but Romero gets an underhook and turns Silva into the cage. Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Romero misses with a knee to the head. Romero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Romero lands a leg kick that knocks Silva off balance momentarily. Silva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Silva tries to keep at a distance but Romero has taken the fight into the clinch. Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Silva is trying to drag Romero to the mat but Romero just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Silva is pushing Romero up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Silva tries to stall but Romero uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Romero keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Silva takes an elbow to the temple. Romero tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Romero landing knees to the head.
Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Romero connects with a nasty looking knee right to Silva's face.

That has opened up Lorenzo Silva's cut even more. Romero using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Silva has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Silva jumps guard and drags Romero to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Silva avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Romero works over Silva with some ground and pound from guard. Romero trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva being controlled here, momentarily. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Romero defends it easily. Romero thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Romero is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Romero controls the pace. Romero preventing the sweep. Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Romero wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Silva preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Romero postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Romero trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Romero is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Romero postures up.

Rodniel Romero dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lorenzo Silva's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Romero drives through and clinches with Silva against the cage.
Silva has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Romero is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Romero gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.

Silva jumps guard but Romero turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Rodniel Romero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lorenzo Silva. Romero lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Silva circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Romero lands with a straight right. Silva didn't see that one coming. Romero misses with a series of wild punches.

Romero throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head. Romero forces Silva back against the cage and clinches. Romero tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Romero throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Romero throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily. Romero throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side. Romero slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Romero closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rodniel Romero has scored more points in the clinch so far. Silva takes an elbow to the temple. Silva takes a knee right on the jaw!
Lorenzo Silva's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Romero tries a knee to the head but Silva blocks it.
Romero keeps control of Silva as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Silva missing with knees to the body.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Lorenzo Silva's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rodniel Romero! Rodniel Romero was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
