The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks throws a leg kick but Byrd sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Banks throws a one two combo.
Byrd with a lazy takedown attempt
and Banks counters with a nice uppercut.
Byrd is rocked!
Byrd shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Banks pinned against the cage. Banks gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Byrd checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Byrd has his takedown stuffed
enabling Banks to counter with a crisp jab.
Scott Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Byrd.
Banks lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Banks.
Byrd is still on wobbly legs! Can Banks finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Byrd tries to clinch up but Banks circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice straight punches there by Banks. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Banks.
Banks pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Byrd walks into a stiff left hand from Banks.
Banks throws an overhand right that drops Byrd like a sack of potatoes! Banks dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Scott Banks really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Vitality logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
