Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Sieler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josef Urrah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urrah has chosen Johnny Cash - Oney as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Sieler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josef Urrah!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Sieler.
Sieler buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sieler throws a sloppy head kick

so Urrah counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Urrah trying to control the position from guard on top but Sieler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sieler wants to stand up but Urrah is controlling him.
Sieler might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Urrah postures up in Sieler's guard and throws a big left but Sieler blocks it.
Sieler wants to get back to his feet but Urrah is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Urrah trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Urrah throwing strikes but missing.
Urrah lands a couple of decent looking shots.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Urrah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sieler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Urrah is standing up over Sieler. Sieler looks to escape but Urrah dives into side control.

Sieler bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Urrah stalks Sieler and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sieler's face. Sieler staggers backwards, shaken.
Urrah gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Sieler.
Sieler walks into a left hand.
Sieler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Urrah manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sieler walks into a stiff left hand from Urrah.
Urrah throws a shot to the body.
Sieler throws a big shot that misses.
Urrah is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Urrah is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Urrah moves out of range as Sieler strikes.
Urrah cracks Sieler with an open hand slap.
Sieler lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Urrah lands with a nice body punch.

Sieler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Urrah was well out of range. Poor timing from Sieler.

Sieler looks to land a combination but Urrah avoids it well.

Sieler throws a head kick that half lands.

and Urrah counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Sieler!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Urrah tries to advance to mount but Sieler denies him.

Sieler is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Urrah asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Urrah lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sieler down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Urrah prevents Sieler from escaping the position.
Sieler is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Sieler on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Sieler is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Urrah has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Urrah misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Urrah has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Urrah cracks Sieler with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Urrah immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Sieler is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Urrah!
