Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bruce Lee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Sullivan! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullivan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Sullivan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sullivan but Sullivan pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sullivan shoots in looking for a takedown. Lee tries to sprawl out of it but Sullivan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lee looks to land a combination but Sullivan avoids it well. Sullivan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lee as he jumps to the side. Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Sullivan. Lee dodges the punch combination from Sullivan.

Lee leaves Sullivan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Both fighters circling a little - Sullivan finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Sullivan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lee counters by clinching up. Lee gets control of Sullivan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lee will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Sullivan throws an elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sullivan's guard. Nice move by Lee! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sullivan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lee controls the pace. Lee wants to control from the top but Sullivan keeps moving. Lee looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sullivan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well. Sullivan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee stands up from Sullivan's guard - Lee perhaps looking for a knockout. Sullivan scores with a jab. Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sullivan. Lee fails with a takedown attempt. Lee wants to clinch. Sullivan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Sullivan shoots in but Lee avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely. Sullivan looks winded! Sullivan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sullivan off to one side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee. Lee closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sullivan circles away. Sullivan throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily. Sullivan fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lee has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lee. Sullivan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee misses with a double jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lee tries for a takedown but Sullivan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Sullivan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sullivan stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. Sullivan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lee moves away. Lee moves out of range as Sullivan throws a body kick.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt. Sullivan fails to land the takedown. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sullivan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bruce Lee will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Sullivan misses with a takedown attempt - Lee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Sullivan. Lee shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sullivan eats them both and turns towards Lee to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Sullivan is breathing heavily.

Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sullivan uses from the top position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sullivan throws a sloppy strike and Lee uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Lee has ended up in Sullivan's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sullivan looking to control but Lee passes into half guard.
Lee looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sullivan is refusing to be controlled, as Lee sits in half guard. Sullivan is trying to stand up here but Lee is controlling him well. Sullivan is staying active underneath Lee, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lee is controlling the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Sullivan is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Lee jumps into side control!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruce Lee. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
