Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cirilo Galiei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin Carrier!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Galiei staying out of range there.
Carrier shoots in for a takedown but Galiei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Galiei closes the distance looking to clinch
and Carrier counters with a nice uppercut.
Carrier fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Cirilo Galiei has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devin Carrier.

Carrier shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carrier showed some decent athleticism there.

Carrier shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Galiei is trying to defend but Carrier finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Galiei really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Carrier looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Carrier avoids the attempt from Galiei to control.

Galiei gets caught flat footed, as Carrier shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Carrier passes Galiei's left leg - he's now in half guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Devin Carrier wasn't active enough on the ground.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Galiei enables Carrier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Galiei manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Carrier in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Carrier pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Galiei is keeping the position for now.

Carrier drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Galiei dives on top into guard.

Carrier is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Galiei defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carrier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Galiei defends it easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Carrier is looking for a triangle but Galiei pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Devin Carrier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Galiei closes the distance looking to clinch
and Carrier counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Carrier is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Galiei's half guard.

Carrier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Galiei is just riding it out for now. Carrier eventually gives up the hold.

Carrier is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Galiei has managed to free his arm - good work.
Galiei tries to kick Carrier off but Carrier keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Carrier is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Carrier perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Let's hope that Carrier has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Carrier seems to be looking for submissions.

Carrier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Galiei is just riding it out for now. Carrier eventually gives up the hold.

Galiei is staying active underneath Carrier, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Carrier is working for a kimura but Galiei is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Carrier is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Galiei doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Carrier.

Carrier stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Devin Carrier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Carrier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
