Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashman wants to clinch.
Salmon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Salmon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ashman as he avoids it easily.
Salmon swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ashman wants to clinch.
Salmon digs a good body shot into Ashman's ribs.
Salmon lands a slapping body shot.
Ashman looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice body punch from Salmon.
Salmon cracks Ashman with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Salmon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ashman to stand back up!
Ashman is rocked!
It looks like Michael Ashman has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ashman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ashman is still on wobbly legs! Can Salmon finish him?

Salmon misses with a double jab
and Ashman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Ashman tries a knee to the head but Salmon blocks it.
Ashman seems to have recovered his senses.
Salmon fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Ashman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Salmon shoots for a double leg takedown but Ashman sprawls well. He's pushed Salmon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alaskan Salmon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ashman takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ashman tries to clinch but Salmon is having none of it.

Ashman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Salmon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Salmon throws a shot from downtown. Ashman moves away and avoids it.
Michael Ashman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Salmon misses with a series of wild punches.
Ashman throws a leg kick which misses Salmon's front leg but catches the back leg as Salmon tries to avoid it.
Ashman has managed to clinch.
Salmon is trying to break the clinch but Ashman has him pressed against the cage.
Ashman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Salmon drops Ashman with a straight right hand, right on the button! Salmon follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
