Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Navarro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nursultan Tuliegbay!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navarro connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Tuliegbay avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Navarro avoids the body shot from Tuliegbay.
A clash of legs there as Tuliegbay blocks the low kick.
Tuliegbay takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Navarro rushes Tuliegbay and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Navarro using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tuliegbay has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Navarro lands a nice elbow.

Navarro throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Tuliegbay blocks it with crossed arms.

Gary Navarro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A jab lands there for Tuliegbay.
Tuliegbay throws a looping overhand right but Navarro ducks down to avoid it.
Tuliegbay takes a swing at Navarro's ribcage but misses.
Tuliegbay ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Navarro moves away.
Tuliegbay just misses with a punch to the body.
Navarro moves away from the strike by Tuliegbay.

Navarro clinches with his opponent.

Tuliegbay pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Navarro darts in trying to clinch
and Tuliegbay counters with a stiff right hand.

Tuliegbay fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Navarro to the ground. Tuliegbay is now in Navarro's guard.
Navarro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Navarro tries to get out of the position.

Tuliegbay drops back looking for a leg! Navarro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Navarro manages to kick Tuliegbay off! Tuliegbay jumps back into Navarro's guard.

Tuliegbay is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tuliegbay throwing strikes from guard but Navarro blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gary Navarro dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Tuliegbay connects with a good right hand that stumbles Navarro. Navarro circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Navarro throws a solid leg kick but Tuliegbay takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Navarro.
Navarro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tuliegbay looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tuliegbay keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tuliegbay keeps the fight on the outside.

Tuliegbay closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Tuliegbay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Navarro takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Tuliegbay trying to control the position but Navarro is working away.
Navarro is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Navarro is not content to let Tuliegbay control the position.

Tuliegbay is trying to get an arm triangle but Navarro is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tuliegbay trying to control the action but Navarro is working from the bottom.
Tuliegbay is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Tuliegbay has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Navarro!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tuliegbay lands a big shot there that rocks Navarro but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Navarro has left one of his arms exposed and Tuliegbay doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Navarro screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nursultan Tuliegbay!
Nursultan Tuliegbay really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Fury Nutrition Inc. logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
