The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Kilkenny finds it's target.
Kilkenny throws a big shot that misses.
Rooney steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kilkenny.

It looks like Mic Rooney has been cut.
Kilkenny blocks a low kick nicely.

Kilkenny cracks Rooney with a big right hand and Rooney goes down!

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Kilkenny stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rooney swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kilkenny forces his way into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lance Kilkenny.
Kilkenny throws a leg kick which misses Rooney's front leg but catches the back leg as Rooney tries to avoid it.

Kilkenny bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kilkenny flashes Rooney a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Rooney's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Rooney crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Kilkenny punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
