The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castle gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Goodridge to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Castle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Castle lands a nice short elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Castle throws a strike but Goodridge rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd cheers as Goodridge lands an impressive looking overhand right. Castle doesn't seem phased though.
Goodridge is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Castle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Goodridge tries to avoid it but Castle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Goodridge to the ground. Goodridge escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That has opened up Frank Castle's cut even more.

Castle takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Frank Castle's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Gary Goodridge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Goodridge throws out the jab.
