Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Pacific (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leo Van Bruinier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacific comes to the cage accompanied by Akon ft Pitbull Shut it Down. Van Bruinier has chosen Girlfrind as his entrance music. Leo Van Bruinier has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joey Pacific's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Pacific! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Leo Van Bruinier! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacific shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Van Bruinier throws a right hand that Pacific ducks under and follows up with a left that Pacific also avoids with ease. Van Bruinier misses with a few strikes there.
Pacific moves out of range as Van Bruinier throws a body kick.
Pacific blocks a head kick by Van Bruinier.
Van Bruinier lands with a straight right. Pacific didn't see that one coming. No luck with that takedown attempt from Pacific. Pacific tries to close the distance and clinch up but Van Bruinier swats him away and circles back towards the center. Van Bruinier scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Van Bruinier. Pacific takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pacific connects with a single shot there. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Van Bruinier. Pacific feints and then cracks Van Bruinier's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Van Bruinier down. Van Bruinier lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Pacific or perhaps it was just good defense by Van Bruinier which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joey Pacific. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pacific lands a nice shot that snaps Van Bruinier's head back.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Van Bruinier. Pacific shoots in but Van Bruinier avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pacific throws a low kick but Van Bruinier avoids it. Van Bruinier scores with a hook to the body. Pacific takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Pacific is breathing heavily. Van Bruinier drops Pacific with a right and a left! Van Bruinier comes rushing in but Pacific regains his composure and manages to keep Van Bruinier in guard.
Pacific is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Van Bruinier is stalling in the full guard. Oh Pacific is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Pacific can't keep his opponent in guard - Van Bruinier advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Van Bruinier looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Pacific seems to have got his legs back now. Pacific is not content to let Van Bruinier control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Bruinier seems to be looking for submissions.
Van Bruinier is looking for a kimura but Pacific is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Van Bruinier to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Bruinier is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pacific sees it coming and defends easily. Van Bruinier is looking for submissions but instead, Pacific has regained full guard.
Pacific is working an open guard so Van Bruinier takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Van Bruinier works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Van Bruinier goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. No luck for Pacific with that takedown attempt. Van Bruinier bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pacific's head backwards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pacific avoids a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pacific blocks a head kick by Van Bruinier.
Van Bruinier connects with a jab. Van Bruinier throws a series of punches but Pacific moves out of range. Van Bruinier knocks Pacific to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!? Van Bruinier wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pacific keeps working. Van Bruinier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Van Bruinier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Van Bruinier in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Pacific looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Van Bruinier turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leo Van Bruinier! A relieved looking Leo Van Bruinier thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
