Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jean-Louis Andre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roger Dodger! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dodger lands a jab to the head.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dodger!
Dodger lands a head shot. Dodger lands with a right hand. Andre throws a solid leg kick but Dodger takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Andre. Roger Dodger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dodger throws an overhand right that lands on Andre's shoulder, as Andre tries to avoid the shot. Andre wants to clinch up but Dodger keeps it at a distance. Nice shot by Dodger. Dodger misses with an uppercut. Andre saw that one coming. Dodger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Andre. Andre fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Andre shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dodger as he jumps to the side. Dodger lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Andre has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Andre walks into a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dodger lands a jab to the head.
Andre is rocked! Andre moves forwards but Dodger connects with a nice, crisp jab. Oh Andre is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Dodger throws a hook but Andre avoids it easily. Andre seems to have got his legs back now. Dodger swings for the body but Andre moves out of range.
Andre tries to land a front kick but Dodger steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dodger, as that shot connected.
Dodger thows a body shot but no joy. Andre moves out of range as Dodger strikes. Dodger slips under a jab. Dodger avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Dodger is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Andre had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Andre dodges the punch combination from Dodger.
A looping hook to the body misses from Andre. Dodger does a little dance to reset his feet. Dodger works Andre's body with a nice hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Andre is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dodger sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dodger fails to land with a series of punches.
Dodger might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Andre ducks under a wild hook from Dodger. Dodger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Andre. Andre swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Andre moves into full mount! Dodger won't be happy about that! Andre landing strikes from the mount. Andre lands with some strikes. Andre scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dodger?

Andre breaks from Dodger's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dodger is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
This has been an exciting period of action! Andre putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Andre trying to control but he's not successful this time. A nice elbow there by Andre. Andre punching from mount but Dodger doing a good job of avoiding damage. Dodger is trying to stand up. Dodger is trying desperately to improve position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Andre wants to control the pace but Dodger is squirming around nicely. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Andre controlling from the full mount. Andre scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dodger?

It looks like Roger Dodger has been cut. Still in the clinch, Andre scores with a nice short uppercut. Andre tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dodger's elbow. Andre throws a punch but it's blocked by Dodger. Andre tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Andre lands with a right to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Andre cracks Dodger with a nice body shot. Andre tries a body shot but Dodger blocks it.
Andre ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Andre no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dodger tries to free his leg and advance position but Andre is retaining full guard. Dodger won't allow Andre to sweep him here. Dodger postures up.

Dodger stands and throws Andre's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dodger misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Andre tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dodger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Andre wants to control but Dodger postures up. Andre is looking for a sweep. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dodger tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Andre is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dodger decides to stand back up. Dodger steps back and let's Andre get back to his feet. Andre lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Dodger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Andre. Andre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dodger.

and Andre counters by clinching up. Dodger tries to land knees in the clinch but Andre avoids the damage to the body. Dodger misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Andre.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Dodger throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Andre blocks it with crossed arms. Dodger wants to get back to striking at distance but Andre won't allow it.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Dodger just misses with a elbow thrown towards Andre's brow. Andre cracks Dodger with a nice body shot. Andre goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Andre scores with a hook to the body. Dodger is breathing heavily. Dodger stops a takedown attempt from Andre.

Jean-Louis Andre dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Roger Dodger's cut. That's time! Andre's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Dodger fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Andre looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. No luck for Andre with that takedown attempt. Andre bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A looping hook to the body misses from Andre. Dodger does a little dance to reset his feet. Andre takes a swing at Dodger's ribcage but misses. Dodger misses with a right hand and Andre decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dodger's guard. Dodger looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Andre has picked Dodger up and slammed him! Dodger can't keep hold of the triangle and Andre manages to pass to side control! Andre trying to control the position but Dodger is working away. Andre advances to full mount. Dodger keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Andre is landing with some decent strikes but Dodger is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Andre is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dodger can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Andre goes for an armbar but Dodger turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dodger. Andre controls Dodger momentarily but Dodger frees himself. Andre working for a triangle but Dodger defends it easily.
Dodger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Andre is proving hard to escape from. Dodger drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Andre dives on top into guard. Andre wants to control from the top but Dodger keeps moving. Dodger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Andre is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Andre throws an elbow that misses. Dodger uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Andre's guard. Nice move by Dodger! Andre lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Dodger! Dodger bucks up and throws Andre to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Dodger swings widly with a right hand
and Andre counters with a shoot takedown. Dodger fights it but they end up in guard. Dodger is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Andre working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Andre slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Andre trying to control the position but Dodger is working away. Andre misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Andre lands a nice forearm strike. Andre tries for a kimura but Dodger is defending well. Andre landing strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Andre working the ground and pound. Roger Dodger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jean-Louis Andre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dodger tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Andre wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Jean-Louis Andre showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Andre, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
