Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guido Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Rizzo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Rizzo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Anderson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Anderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rizzo is fending him off so far but Anderson persists. Nope, Rizzo circles away and we're back to standing.

Anderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rizzo's waist but Rizzo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side.

Rizzo wants the takedown. Anderson is fighting it off but Rizzo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Anderson's guard against the cage.
Rizzo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Anderson looks for a takedown but Rizzo sprawls well.

Rizzo wants to work for an arm triangle but Anderson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rizzo stops Anderson from getting back to his feet.
Rizzo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Anderson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Rizzo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rizzo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Anderson is working an open guard so Rizzo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Anderson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Rizzo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Rizzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Anderson is looking to stand up but Rizzo isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rizzo is posturing up here but Anderson has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Rizzo tries to roll out but it's too tight and Rizzo has to tap! Slick submission there by Anderson!
