Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Uruhara Hatake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Mitchell's choice of entrance music: Wax Simulacra. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hatake fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mitchell to the ground. Hatake is now in Mitchell's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hatake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hatake trying to control but Mitchell is working from the bottom.
Hatake wants to pass the guard but Mitchell is keeping the position.
Hatake works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Hatake is trying to control. Mitchell wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mitchell slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Hatake stopping the sweep attempt from Mitchell.

Mitchell working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hatake doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hatake manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hatake slips nicely into half guard.

Mitchell throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hatake escapes and throws Mitchell's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hatake scores with a couple of short elbows.

Hatake cracks Mitchell with a big right hand but Mitchell just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Hatake throws a strike aimed at the side of Mitchell's head but Mitchell avoids it well.

Hatake is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mitchell has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mitchell tries to improve position but can't.
Hatake trying to control the action but Mitchell is working from the bottom.
Mitchell wants to control but Hatake postures up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hatake is looking to take a break and control but Mitchell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Mitchell looking for a triangle here. Hatake is fighting it but it looks tight! Mitchell pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hatake is tapping out - this one is all over!
