And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Montii!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Montii displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mir.
Montii stuffs the takedown attempt from Mir. Mir gets slowly back to his feet.
Mir lands with a nice combination. Montii backs away looking to recover.
Montii tries to clinch but Mir moves out of range.
Good leg kick by Mir there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Montii throws a hook but Mir avoids it easily.
Montii looks to land a right hand but Mir moved out of range.
Mir shoots in for a takedown but Montii shows good takedown defense.

Montii is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Montii sprawls well. Montii wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mir gets slowly back to his feet.

Montii swings for the body but Mir moves out of range.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Montii tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mir was well out of range. Poor timing from Montii.

Montii stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Montii wants it to stay on the feet.
Montii throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Mir has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Montii uses from the top position.
Montii is stalling in the full guard.

Mir had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Montii defends it easily.

Montii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mir is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Montii has his hands clasped together but Mir extends and breaks Montii's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mir.
