Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Doestevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Sichev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doestevsky comes to the cage accompanied by New Divide. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Samuel Doestevsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yuri Sichev! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doestevsky throws a series of punches but Sichev moves out of range. Sloppy strikes from Doestevsky. Those never looked like landing. Sichev is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Doestevsky's half guard. Doestevsky wants to improve his position but Sichev is controlling well.
Sichev is thwarting Doestevsky's attempts to control the position. Sichev is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Sichev is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Doestevsky defends it well. Sichev is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Sichev is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Doestevsky is just riding it out for now. Sichev eventually gives up the hold. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Doestevsky is trying to stand up here but Sichev is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doestevsky blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sichev. Doestevsky won't allow Sichev to pass to mount. Doestevsky is looking to escape. Doestevsky is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Doestevsky pushes Sichev off looking to stand but Sichev dives back in and keeps control.
Sichev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sichev takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Doestevsky looks like he's trying to stand up.
Doestevsky is breathing heavily. Doestevsky avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sichev. Sichev has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sichev landing shots from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sichev is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Doestevsky is rocked! Oooh a big shot lands for Sichev! Doestevsky is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Yuri Sichev!
