The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Mir looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice defenses there by Mir.
Caerdinn scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Mir misses with the combination.
Mir throws a sloppy head kick and Caerdinn moves out of range easily.
Caerdinn throws a leg kick which misses Mir's front leg but catches the back leg as Mir tries to avoid it.
Mir misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mir shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Caerdinn as he avoids it easily.
Caerdinn throws a body punch but Mir moves out of range.
Brent Caerdinn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caerdinn thows a body shot but no joy.
Mir ducks under a wild hook from Caerdinn.
Caerdinn connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mir is trying to pull guard but Caerdinn turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Mir tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mir walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Mir shoots for a double leg takedown but Caerdinn sprawls well. He's pushed Mir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Caerdinn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Mir throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Caerdinn's waist but Caerdinn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mir off to one side.

Caerdinn drops his shoulder and cracks Mir with a huge uppercut! Mir goes down! Can Caerdinn finish him?

Mir is rocked!

Oh Mir is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Caerdinn content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
