Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dexter Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Jacobson! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peterson tries to clinch there but Jacobson circles away.
Peterson shoots in for a double leg but Jacobson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jacobson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Peterson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jacobson is fending him off so far but Peterson persists. Nope, Jacobson circles away and we're back to standing. Peterson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jacobson as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter Peterson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jacobson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Peterson fails to land the takedown. Peterson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jacobson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Peterson wants to get back to striking at distance but Jacobson won't allow it.

Jacobson working for a triangle but Peterson defends it easily.
Jacobson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peterson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jacobson is trying to keep Peterson in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterson tries to free his leg and advance position but Jacobson is retaining full guard. Peterson controlling from the top position. Jacobson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Peterson won't allow Jacobson to sweep him here. Peterson controls from within his opponent's guard. Peterson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Peterson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Peterson stands up from Jacobson's guard - Peterson perhaps looking for a knockout. Jacobson throws a head kick but Peterson moves out of range.
Jacobson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jacobson looks gassed! Peterson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Peterson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jacobson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Peterson shoots for a takedown but Jacobson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A head kick lands from Jacobson that sends Peterson to the canvas. Peterson tries to scramble back to his feet but Jacobson brings him back down into side control.
Peterson is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A big shot lands for Jacobson! That's hurt Peterson! Will he recover? Jacobson fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
