Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edson Aldrete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannu Tappanii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hannu Tappanii struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tappanii fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Aldrete tries to bum rush Tappanii with a series of wild strikes but Tappanii uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tappanii avoids a punch combination nicely.
A cross from Aldrete lands.
Tappanii shoots for a takedown but Aldrete saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sloppy strikes from Aldrete. Those never looked like landing.
Tappanii bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tappanii is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Aldrete looks calm but he's in trouble here. Tappanii gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Aldrete is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Tappanii lets go of the hold and Aldrete can pop his arm back in it's socket.
