Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wagner Cavalcante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Megadeth-Trust. Alex Ramirez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wagner Cavalcante! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramirez shoots in and bounces Cavalcante off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Ramirez landing some decent shots from guard. Ramirez landing some decent shots from guard. Ramirez pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cavalcante is keeping the position for now. Ramirez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cavalcante is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cavalcante has escaped and now he's on top! Ramirez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ramirez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cavalcante is one step ahead there. Cavalcante missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ramirez controlling Cavalcante's posture. Cavalcante has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ramirez is proving hard to escape from.
Alex Ramirez has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A solid leg kick lands there for Ramirez.
Ramirez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Cavalcante tries to kick Ramirez off but Ramirez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Cavalcante is not content to let Ramirez control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ramirez is taking a breather. Cavalcante says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ramirez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Cavalcante has managed to free his arm - good work. Ramirez is controlling the pace.
Ramirez is looking to take a break and control but Cavalcante is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cavalcante throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Cavalcante is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ramirez scores with a couple of nice shots. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ground and pound from Ramirez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ramirez lands a nice short elbow. Cavalcante taking some punishment here, with Ramirez in his half guard. Ramirez slips a nice elbow through Cavalcante's hands, connecting with Cavalcante's forehead. Ramirez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ramirez thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Cavalcante is pressing down on Ramirez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Ramirez distracts Cavalcante with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ramirez postures up in Cavalcante's guard and throws a big left but Cavalcante blocks it. Ramirez slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ramirez advances to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ramirez wants to control but Cavalcante is keeping him busy. Ramirez looks to land a strike but Cavalcante avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Cavalcante keeping moving, preventing Ramirez from controlling successfully. Ramirez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cavalcante swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ramirez lands a couple of elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramirez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Cavalcante is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ramirez rolls with it to try and escape but Cavalcante cranks on the arm and Ramirez is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
