The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pagliarulo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Waffle is trying to defend but Pagliarulo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Waffle works his way to full guard. Good work.
Waffle controlling the position.
Waffle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pagliarulo's guard.
Waffle content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
It looks like Christian Pagliarulo has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Waffle keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pagliarulo's head.
Pagliarulo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Waffle working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Waffle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Pagliarulo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pagliarulo tries to get out of the position.
Waffle with a nice head shot there.
Waffle stands and throws Pagliarulo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Waffle grinds an elbow into Pagliarulo's temple.
Waffle works to advance to full mount. Pagliarulo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Waffle postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Pagliarulo out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Waffle goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
