Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miguel circles away.
Miguel tries to close the distance and clinch but Riley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Riley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Miguel keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Riley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Miguel sees it coming and defends easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sam Miguel.
