Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Miguel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Miguel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 28 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Riley! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Miguel circles away. Miguel tries to close the distance and clinch but Riley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Miguel tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Riley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Miguel keeps control of the position for the meantime. Riley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Miguel sees it coming and defends easily. Miguel wants to improve his position but Riley is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Miguel is just riding it out for now. Riley eventually gives up the hold. Ground and pound from Riley.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riley seems to be working for a kimura but Miguel defends the submission attempt. Riley is thwarting Miguel's attempts to control the position. Riley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Miguel tries to roll over but Riley keeps him under control. Riley not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Riley wants to work for an arm triangle but Miguel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Miguel wants to control but Riley is keeping busy and won't allow it. Riley looks to land a strike but Miguel avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Miguel is looking to stand up but Riley isn't so interested in that idea. Riley is looking to advance position but Miguel has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Riley manages to regain half guard. Good work. Miguel is keen to just control but Riley is a slippery customer. Riley regains full guard. Nicely done.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Miguel has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Riley is proving hard to escape from. Miguel works over Riley with some ground and pound from guard. Miguel tries to stand but Riley is controlling from the bottom. Miguel looking to sit in guard and control but Riley gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Miguel keeping full guard, as Riley tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley lands a couple of elbows. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Miguel is on top in guard.
Riley looking for a sweep. Not yet Riley, not yet. Miguel throws a big elbow that misses. Riley has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Miguel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miguel pushing down on Riley's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Riley dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Riley is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miguel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Riley lands with a straight right. Miguel didn't see that one coming. Riley feints and as Miguel raises his hands in defense, Riley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Riley throws a big elbow that misses. Riley with a flurry of punches that miss. Miguel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Miguel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Billy Riley has got the better of the ground game so far. Riley looking to sit in guard and control but Miguel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Miguel preventing the sweep. Miguel trying to control but Riley is working from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miguel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Miguel wants to control from the top but Riley keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Miguel passes into half guard. Miguel drops an elbow to the side of Riley's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miguel trying to control from half guard but Riley is working away. Riley is holding on to half guard well. Riley wants to get back to full guard. Riley wants to control but Miguel is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miguel wants to pass to mount but Riley is defending the position. Miguel stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Riley slaps away a takedown attempt from Miguel, before circling back to the center of the mat. Riley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Miguel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Riley paws at him with a jab and circles away. Riley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Miguel avoids it really well and circles away. Riley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Miguel's waist but Miguel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riley off to one side. Sam Miguel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Riley. Riley has taken the fight to the clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley has a couple of punches blocked by Miguel.
Miguel jumps guard but Riley turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Miguel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Riley.

Riley is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Miguel stands up over Riley, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riley is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Billy Riley will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sam Miguel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Miguel doesn't manage to clinch there - Riley circles away.
Miguel smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Miguel tries to close the distance and clinch but Riley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Riley fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sam Miguel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Riley. Miguel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Riley is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Miguel gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Riley swings wildly with an uppercut but Miguel uses good head movement to avoid it. Miguel lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Riley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Riley tries to score a body lock takedown but Miguel shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miguel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Miguel sprawls well. Miguel wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet. A chopping leg kick lands by Miguel. Riley shoots in but no luck this time. Riley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Miguel tries to clinch but Riley moves out of range. Miguel clinches with his opponent.
Miguel's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Riley fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Miguel closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Miguel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Miguel wants to stand up but Riley has a hold of him and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miguel throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Miguel seems to be working for a kimura but Riley defends the submission attempt. Riley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miguel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miguel's back! This has been an exciting period of action! Riley is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Riley has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Miguel rolls, trying to escape but Riley keeps control of the position.
Miguel covering up well under a series of strikes from Riley. Miguel looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Riley is landing with strikes. Miguel can't take much more of this.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Riley is looking to control Miguel but Miguel is wriggling around and keeping busy. Miguel wants to escape the position.
Miguel turns into Riley and is now in his guard.
Riley keeping moving, preventing Miguel from controlling successfully. Miguel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sam Miguel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Billy Riley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Riley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sam Miguel. I think Riley has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
