The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dare misses with a body shot
and Simpson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dare. Simpson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dare displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Dare takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Dare is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Simpson.
Simpson cracks a nice hook into Dare's ribs.
Dare feints and then cracks Simpson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simpson down.

Dare cracks Simpson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dare throws a shot from downtown. Simpson moves away and avoids it.
Simpson throws a hook to the side of Dare's head but Dare sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dare ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dare misses with the combination.
Simpson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dare.
Simpson misses the jab.
Dare throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Simpson sees it coming and avoids it easily.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Simpson checks a leg kick.

Dare is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Simpson throws a jab but it's blocked by Dare.
Dare tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Simpson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dare jabs Simpson to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Simpson looks winded!
Simpson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Simpson tries to move into range but Dare moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Dare misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dare connects with a high kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simpson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Simpson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dare finds it's way round the side to connect with Simpson's head.
Whack! Dare lands a heavy head kick that drops Simpson. The ref tackles Dare to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Simpson was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Malcolm Dare!
Malcolm Dare really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Namunamu Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
