Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Richard Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaun White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shaun White will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

White closes the distance and clinches.

Price breaks the clinch.

Price gets a double leg takedown into White's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
White wants to stand but Price is controlling the position.
White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet.
White keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully.

Price postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
White looking to hit a scissor sweep but Price is one step ahead there.
White has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Price shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
White throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Price takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Shaun White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Price drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Price working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Price trying to control but White is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Price accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Price loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Price throws a strike but White rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
White postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Price lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for White!
White wants to hold on but Price pushes him away.
Price landing strikes from the mount and White is in trouble!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Price thowing shots but they're missing.
White tries to lock up and control but Price gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Price lands with some strikes.

White tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Price misses with a head shot.
Price can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as White is looking to escape.
Price sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
White holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Price tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Price cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Price wants to control the pace but White is squirming around nicely.

Price is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, White has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Price landing strikes, looking to finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Price wants to finish this one by submission but White is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Price.
White is desperately trying to improve his position but Price has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
White is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
White sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Price wants to pass to mount but White is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Richard Price dominated that round.
That's time! Price's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Price tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but White paws at him with a jab and circles away.
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Price moves away.
Price takes a shot to the body in his stride.

White moves into range and clinches up with Price.
Price tries a body shot but White blocks it.
White is trying to break free.
White tries to break the clinch but Price is controlling the position.
Price drops down looking for an ankle pick but White pulls his leg out and moves away.

Price tries to keep at a distance but White has taken the fight into the clinch.
Price is trying to drag White to the mat but White just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.
Price tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Price. That's going to take a lot out of him.
White lands with a left to the head.

Price takes a shot to the head.

White breaks the clinch.
White stuns Price with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
White connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Price's hands.
Nice uppercut lands for White. That snapped Price's head back.

Price is rocked!
White measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Price! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
